Chris Brown Helps The Anti-Domestic Violence Charity

Chris Brown Helps The Anti-Domestic Violence Charity
Chris Brown

has offered his services to a charity which aims to stamp out violence against women. The pop singer, who was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend last year, has been attempting to make a career comeback in recent months following the highly-publicized court case.

He approached Jimmie Briggs, the founder of anti-domestic violence charity Man Up, at the GQ Gentlemen's Ball in New York on Wednesday evening, October 27 and asked whether he would be able to help. Briggs tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "I found Chris to be very humble, sincere, honest and clear about expressing an interest in working with Man Up or an organization like ours."

"Chris is a young man, and he made a mistake. Some people may feel or not feel he hasn't paid his dues, but he's on a journey. We have to be supportive. My parting words to him were 'Keep your head up.'"
